I studied for 5 years in the hospitality industry where I obtained an MBA in international hotel management.
As part of my end-of-study internship, I was a Digital Marketing Officer and then a Digital Project Officer in a luxury hotel complex belonging to the Danone group. I was in charge of 7 websites where I also contributed to their redesign (👉🏻 Check out my project).
In parallel to my job, I did a Bootcamp in UX Design at The Interaction Design Foundation.
I am now a full-time UX/UI Designer.
Since I have been able to use a computer keyboard, I have created many websites. I didn't have much to write on them but I loved creating them...!
My hospitality studies have taught me a lot, both professionally and personally: how a business works in terms of marketing, human resources, finances but also the field of tourism in general, oenology and much more.
But, I needed a change.
When I discovered the wonderful world of UX, I found that everything I liked was brought together: user research, analysis, finding useful solutions, visual design...
Thanks to my years in hospitality industry, I am very familiar with the notion of empathy which allows me to better understand the users and to put myself in their shoes.
So I said, "Go for it!"
